I’ve been meaning to try my hand at these adorable bags ever since my my made me a tiny one for Christmas. Glitter Queen decided she needed a new bag this morning, so I agreed we’d try sewing her one. It must be the full moon or something.
Hers is made from leftover fabric from her quilt and as you can see it’s already in use. Glitter lip smacker and dragons, very her.
I tried making mine with a thrifted, felted sweater. I like the result (especially the cables) but getting the zipper in without stretching the fabric was quite a bit more difficult then the fabric version.
Mine is holding my new purse project, a basic sock knit in Schaefer Yarn Lola, Cherries Jubilee.
Seriously! Too cute! Camp is a week away and your homework is done and you are sewing adorable bags!!
Can't wait to give you a big hug this year Sam!

very cute bags-and love the colorway of the socks, are you using a specific pattern or is it a surprise?!

Oh my gursh... I bought one of these in Portland and paid a pretty penny for it. I'm so making more of these. Thanks for posting.
I'm Kathy, BTW. I 'found' you on Rav while I was looking around in the Redmond Knits group.
Nice blog you have here! ;)
